We have responded again to an urgent appeal from Mohammed Madi, Gaza Coordinator for the Global Gathering to Support the Choice of Resistance, which has representatives on every continent except Antarctica. Right now there is nowhere more important than Gaza because of the need, so we sent the last combined reserves of funds from PCWF and FPM, a total of $4000. The video below is from our previous donation of $5000 in April and there is an earlier video from March, when we sent another $5000 of your donations.
Unfortunately, I have to report that we and our partners are all reaching the bottom of the barrel in terms of the support that we can provide. The GGSCR headquarters in Beirut reports that they also have hit bottom, partly because of the equally desperate needs in Lebanon, where Israel has killed more than 3000 and created more than 1.2 million refugees. The only reason we didn’t help directly with that situation, is that our fiscal sponsor has a separate project, SSM (the Sovereignty Support Movement) that just sent $20,000 today to their partners in Lebanon. Their report has not yet been posted to their website, sovereigntysupportmovement.org, but was sent to their listserv six hours ago. They expect the report to be posted on their website tomorrow.
We know that times are hard for many of us, but we want to be ready when we are called upon again (probably sooner than later) to prevent starvation in Gaza. The other organizational members of the GGSCR have been generous as well, but have similarly reached the limits of their funding. If you can, please go to our donate page and contribute what you can.
